Welcome to the blog created by Year 8 students in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia dedicated to The Burger. This class project aims to employ as many Web 2.0 tools and cross-curricular activities as possible around a theme… to see how far a silly idea can be taken via low/no-cost technologies. Please enjoy our work and return often for updates! We anticipate running the project until the end of 2008.
Head to the ‘Blog’ tab (at the top of this page) to see what’s happening, and follow theburger on Twitter (see ‘Burger Tweets’ in the sidebar) to keep in touch with developments as they happen. The Twitter Grade (below) means that the burger scores higher than that percentage of all Twitter profiles that have been graded (currently approaching 300,000, and growing by thousands a day) based on follower ‘power’, updates, and so on.
What is the current BurgerTime?
Note: The clock on BurgerCam and BurgerTime might be slightly different owing to transmission delay. There is generally a 30 second to 1 minute delay.

Interesting idea – how long do you thinkj you will do this for?
Love the concept of the burger and what a cool way to work with web2.0 tools. I’d love to see an animoto video of the burger!!! Keep up the great blogging guys. I’ll be back to see how things ‘grow’.
Pickles: Keep reading the blog and the reasons will all become clear in time.
Helen: As a ‘project’ I will run until the end of this school year (December 2008). After that, who knows how long I will last?
Trish: My student helpers are coming up with different ways of making my life interesting constantly. No doubt they will read your comment and it will make them think.
Thank you all for your comments!
Very impressed by use of Web 2.0 Tech. Cool Concept
